By means of the ballistic separator mixed material batches are classified according to size, shape and weight, generating three different output fractions. This increases the accuracy of subsequent automatic or manual sorting processes and guarantees the recovery of mono-material batches. Due to its separation method, the ballistic separator is the optimal machine used to remove organic substances from mixed waste fractions such as domestic wastes and MSW.

 

The technology at a glance:

  • material classification by means of six asynchronously rotating paddles that are equipped with screens
  • size and shape of screen perforation can be flexibly adjusted according to a specific application
  • inclination of and distance between paddles can be individually adjusted
  • available as individual aggregate or as cascade-like construction with integrated fall step
