Generation of Energy Carriers
Secondary fuels become primary energy carriers
This WINCON process enables the generation of an energy carrier from mixed and untreated municipal solid waste (MSW) that contains a great amount of organic substances. The energy carrier produced by this process can replace up to 95% or the carbon (coal) used in industrial combustion processes.
The technology at a glance:
- suitable for mixed and untreated domestic waste and MSW
- composite materials are disintegrated and ground by means of our Cross Flow crushing technology
- material is discharged by screens fitted to the wall and/or bottom of the shredding machine
- material is crushed down to particles with a defined grit size (>2 mm) which is determined by the shape and size of the screen perforation
- during discharged via screens material is frayed
- RDF has a short ignition time due to its fibrous structure, which results in a short flame and an optimal temperature pattern
- high degree of drying of non-metal material thans to shredding and discharging method
- initial separation step within shredding machine, as extraneous material and metal are released separately
- separate metal discharge ensures recovery of pure metal fractions without adhesions
- continuous treatment process thans to continuous material discharge via screens
- plants consist of individual components which can be added or removed according to the specific requirements in each application
